Of course I did. It was covered extensively in the documentary.

Are we counting Halloween-themed TV specials?

I would say YES because it says in the description of the challenge that 'kiddie-horror' is allowed as well as made-for-TV and TV shows.

I watched the Friday the 13th remake last night. It's been a few years, but I realised this is definitely one of the better remakes. It probably tops most of the original F13 franchise, just in terms of production value (they really don't hold up). I liked the way they still referenced the originals with the overt sex and drugs obsession of the victims (the sex scene in the lodge is hilarious, "You have perfect nipple placement").

Not sure how I feel about Jason's lair, though. On the one hand it gives a good backstory on how the network of tunnels can see him catch up with people and appear out of nowhere, but on the other it humanises him a bit too much from the silent killer that appears out of nowhere with no other purpose than to kill.

Solid, solid remake, though.

I haven't. Is it standalone enough if I haven't watched a Chucky movie in 20 years?
Watch Curse of Chucky, then Cult and you'll be set.
Thanks, I may do that out of curiosity.
Not sure why people are shitting on this. It's a lot of fun.

Watched Curse of Chucky. It was better than I thought it would be. I liked Brad Dourif in this though.

I think they set the bar quite high with Curse, and this falls short.

Who puts that much hope into a Chucky movie?

JFC, they are a diversion at best, more of the same at worst. People are idiots. OMG it wasn't the best movie ever, and for some reason I thought it was going to be Citizen Kane even though all the previous movies were mildly comedic/scary shitfests about a killer who becomes a doll.

That's exactly why I don't actually follow anything.
