You just have a scene at the beginning where Josh Brolin calls Samwise and is like, "Hey so it's cool being married to Martha Plimpton and I hope everything is going cool over there with the indiana jones kid and the fat guy and the corey. It's great to be starting our new lives in New York, okay bye".

I need to be consulted on things like this a lot more.

I'm watching a 3 part mini series called The Enfield Haunting on Hulu. It's pretty good. It's about the big poltergeist case that turned out to be fraud in England back in the 70's. The thing lasted 2-3 years and a lot of our current mythos about hauntings comes from it. The Conjuring 2, the movie with the Warrens going to the UK, is about their experience with the Enfield Haunting. Nothing in The Conjuring 2 actually really happened other than they visited the family in the UK. They're not even in this movie, so it's funny that their movie is about how they solved it and exorcised the demon.

Recommended.

Holy fuck, I just realized Chloë Moretz played the little sister in this.
lol I'm watching Signs and had the same reaction when I realized the little girl was Abigail Breslin.

That said, I believe this is a British film, and it's a British resort, so I imagine this would be a place that DJ would go to for holiday, but he'd still just eat and sit by the pool the entire time.
It is and I would. :facts:

I watched 1922 on Netflix last week. Holy shit, slow. Absolutely stunning cinematography but a glacial pace. I was also kind annoyed, because I think the farmer dude had his jaw wired together because his teeth never came apart for the whole movie when he spoke.

Also I am the Pretty Thing That Lives in the House, again, Netflix. This is so slow it makes 1922 look like The Raid.

I begged Ron not to watch 1922, but he wouldn't listen.

It was the first time I've watched a movie on a flight and it actually made the flight go slower.

Similarly I am the Pretty Thing That Lives in the House, I watched half of it, got bored, watched You're Next, then went back and finished it. No way I could handle that much slow in one sitting.

Yeah, 1922 was a beautifully made film. That's what kept me watching, I think. The story wasn't all that original and I think I said on fb that there was enough story there to make a really good 22 min episode of Tales from the Darkside.

I tried. I really did. There have been years when I did nothing.
