Don’t be jealous that you didn’t join my Rock of the Month Club, Neon. More monthly rocks for AR.

I can take or leave Shudder, but as an example they do acquire new films. This is from the press release pre-Frightfest 2017 (hence the hyperbole):
Monday 21 August: AMC Networks’ premium streaming service Shudder, which super-serves fans with a wide variety of high-quality thrillers, suspense and horror films, TV series and originals, have today announced six major film acquisitions: Joe Lynch’s MAYHEM, Chris Peckover’s follow-up thriller BETTER WATCH OUT, German Thriller COLD HELL from Oscar-winning director Stefan Ruzowitzky, SEQUENCE BREAK from actor-turned-director Graham Skipper, Colin Minihan’s IT STAINS THE SANDS RED and STILL/BORN, the debut from director Brandon Christensen. All six films will have their UK Premieres at the Horror Channel FrightFest 2017 which runs from 24-28 August and will be available to stream on Shudder in early 2018.
Say you wanted all of those films on DVD at $10 a throw, that's your annual subscription fee right there. Then you've got the other stuff they offer. Plus they were offering 40% off an annual sub in January.

I do agree with Neon to an extent, though, I had a three month press trial of the service when it started and I just didn't use it. If you're a fan who *only* watches horror, it'll be right up your street, but if you vary your viewing it's difficult to justify a horror-only streaming service.

I think you nail my real feelings down right there. If you are a 'true' horror fan, you would love this, easily. But if you're not going to watch horror for horror's sake, it's not as enticing. I like that Netflix and Hulu have a decent revolving door of horror films old and new. And for the more esoteric, 60-70's European, drive-in or grindhouse, those Roku channels are more than enough for me.

I can see why AR would like it. I know AR has a lot more tolerance for things than I do when it comes to TV and movies. When something makes me want to punch the TV, I know he'll see it and laugh his ass off and think it's great. If I could do that, I would probably like Shudder too.

Agree with the last two posts. I actually did a jig when I saw Grizzly was on Shudder.

Got it, thanks! This one is pretty cool; one of your best. I like the artwork on it. This really is a great value. #RockOfTheMonth

Could I? I highly doubt that.

And even if I did, that's still an Easter Egg.
