UK Horror and Cult DVDs coming out on February 8th, 2010

New on DVD:

Long Weekend (£17.99 RRP): When affluent city slickers, Peter (Jim Caviezel) and Carla, set off for the Australian bush on a long weekend trip, they are looking forward to soaking up the sun, downing a few beers and letting the peaceful solitude help to heal their broken marriage. After finally finding their deserted beach they waste no time in disrupting the beautiful environment by discarding rubbish and taking pot-shots at passing wildlife. But when this blatant disregard for the pristine bushland sounds a red alert among the indigenous species, the couple soon discover that nature will not take this final human invasion lying down. Alone, miles from habitation and with the bush closing in around them, they face a battle to make it out alive. Mother Nature, it seems, is ready to unleash its dark side.

Paranormal Ascendancy (£5.99 RRP): Wake Up Its Time To Die. A Film Inspired by terrifying true events. Housemates Michael and Kenny have experienced some strange events in the middle of the night and Kenny is now convinced that he has a ghost living in his room who becomes active at 3.00 am every night. Expecting to see nothing but a few tricks, Michael visits Kenny's room himself one night and is totally freaked out by the experience.

I couldn't find a trailer for Paranormal Ascendancy, so enjoy the video for the Def Leppard classic: Photograph. Look what you've done to this rock and roll clown, indeed.

Run! Bitch! Run! (£12.99 RRP): RUN! BITCH RUN! tells the story of Catherine and Rebecca, two innocent, teenage Catholic schoolgirls selling religious paraphernalia door to door in order to pay for their education. Things go horribly wrong when they knock on the wrong door in the wrong neighborhood and are confronted by evil Marla, psychotic Clint and sociopath Lobo. Rebecca is tortured and killed and after she is brutally raped and left for dead, Catherine awakes with only one thing on her mind, REVENGE! Run! Bitch Run! is a throw back to the old school Rape and Revenge films of the 1970s and is loaded with classic Grindhouse characters. It has its fill of sex, violence and dark humour that warrants multiple viewing for any fan of the Exploitation genre.

Tony (£14.99 RRP): Gerard Johnson writes and directs this darkly comic British thriller. Peter Ferdinando stars as Tony, an oddball loner living in a rundown part of East London whose life centres around his unhealthy obsession with his collection of 1980s action videos. Tony's misguided attempts to carve out a social life for himself involve a series of empty interactions with drug dealers, pimps, call girls and job centre workers. When a local child goes missing, Tony's odd lifestyle comes under scrutiny, and light is shed on the dark truths behind his existence.

Wolfman (2007) (£9.99 RRP): The Legend says that in 1863, before his tragic death, Don Antonio Feliz hid a cache of Spanish gold deep in a well on his estate. Spawned by an ancient family curse, a bloodthirsty netherworld beast was tasked to guard the riches, and all those who came near met a gruesome end. Years passed and the old haunted Feliz estate eventually became Griffith park in Los Angeles.

Decades later, Angelina Feliz and her boyfriend, Derek, discover an old map leading to her ancestors fortune and the curse is unleashed once again. Now all that stands between her and the treasure is a dangerous spirit from the grave and the wrath of the terrifying creature that lies in wait down in the darkness.. For her!

Like Paranormal Ascendancy, no trailer could be found for this one. In it's place will be a news report from The Omega Man.
