From the press release:
Morgan Peter Brown and Justin Gordon of FallBack Plan Productions are pleased to announce pre-production of their first feature, Absentia. Written and directed by Mike Flanagan, Absentia tells the story of two sisters who begin to link an ominous tunnel to a series of mysterious disappearances. Flanagan, currently in production on the documentary American Marriage, is no stranger to horror. His film Oculus achieved critical acclaim, winning more than a dozen awards at 35 film festivals, including Best Short trophies at the Dead By Dawn Film Festival, Manchester Festival of Fantastic Films, Dragon*Con 2006, and MicroCineFest. Absentia will be his fourth feature film. Katie Parker ("The Young and the Restless"), Courtney Bell (Step Up 2: The Streets), Dave Levine ("Charmed") and Morgan Peter Brown (Nailed) are attached to star, with principal photography beginning on June 21, 2010 in Glendale, CA. Oculus got a five star review from Alien Redrum (read it here), so Mike Flanagan's return is long overdue. We'll keep you updated as news progresses, and be sure to check out Absentia's Facebook page.
